Evangelical churches in Osaka

Osaka, Japan's second largest metropolitan area and the economic heart of the Kansai region, is home to a small but varied Christian minority. The city has churches that grew out of the long established Korean community in the region alongside independent Japanese churches holding to classic evangelical Protestant theology. That variety shows up in the two congregations covered here : one bilingual Japanese Korean church with a multicultural calling, and one independent church (単立) not affiliated with any denominational union.

This page covers two evangelical churches in Osaka : 大阪オンヌリキリスト教会, in Higashi-Shinsaibashi in Chuo Ward, a one minute walk from Nagahoribashi Station, and 浜寺聖書教会 (Hamadera Bible Church), in Nishi Ward, Sakai, a one minute walk from Hamadera koen Station.
