Glorious pioneered French-language "worship pop". The band was born in Valence in the early 2000s, led by the Pouzin brothers after World Youth Day in Rome turned their lives upside down. Inspired by English-speaking worship music, they set out to give French speakers songs of adoration with the sound of modern pop: guitars, synths, and choruses you remember after one listen.
Now based in Lyon, the band has released around twelve albums, sold more than 300,000 copies, and plays about fifty concerts a year. Born in the Catholic world, Glorious is now sung far beyond it: their songs belong to the shared repertoire of countless churches across traditions. A band that became, almost in spite of itself, a craftsman of unity among Christians.
