Les Enflammés was born in 2006 at the first Dynamique Nouvelle Jeunesse (DNJ) congress in Valence, at the initiative of pastor and songwriter Thierry Noël. The idea: bring together dozens of French-speaking Christian artists for a concert built around a humanitarian cause. That first event supported a children's shelter in Peru. In 2009, a second edition gathered nearly thirty artists and around 4,300 young people at the Valence exhibition center, spanning styles from pop-rock to hip-hop, by way of jazz, gospel, r'n'b and rap, this time in support of the association Porteurs d'espoir.
