How did Monsieur et Madame K get started?

The band's story begins well before its current name. from 2001 to 2007, Cédric and Noémie Kessler sang together in the band Made in Heaven, with whom they toured for six years and recorded a three-track CD. in January 2008, the couple launched Molly Syndrome, a project designed to carry values of faith onto non-religious stages across eastern France, where six songs were born.

In the summer of 2009, Cédric and Noémie changed course and began a worship ministry as an acoustic duo in Strasbourg. the warm reception given to these times of singing encouraged them to record, in 2010, a first worship album drawn from a repertoire already known in French-speaking churches: "Change mon cœur" was thus born under the name Monsieur et Madame K.

What makes Monsieur et Madame K unique?

In February 2011, the duo became a six-piece band: Noémie on vocals, Cynthia on viola, Matthieu on bass and backing vocals, Julien on drums, Jérémy on piano and Cédric on guitar. this lineup recorded, in October 2011, "Pulse Live au festival Heaven's Door", eleven worship and adoration songs performed live at the Palais des Fêtes in Strasbourg in an energetic rock style, followed by a Christmas album released at the end of 2012.

In 2022, the band began a collaboration with Swiss lyricist Thierry Ostrini, already known for his work with the band EXO: together, they wrote five new worship songs released roughly every two months, including "Adonaï" and "Divine et Sainte". this series continued in 2023 with the release of the song "Honneur et gloire".

Where should you start to discover Monsieur et Madame K?

For a first listen, "Honneur et gloire", released in 2023, clearly shows the band's most recent pop rock direction, while "Change mon cœur", their first album from 2010, offers more classic worship covers in an acoustic setting. the band's YouTube channel brings together all these songs, from the earliest acoustic recordings to the latest tracks co-written with Thierry Ostrini.
