Simple, joyful Christian Christmas songs that are easy to sing and act out, for children and for the people around them. A Spotify playlist for Sunday school, home, the car or Christmas Eve.
Why sing Christmas songs with children?
The Christmas story is made for little ones: a baby born in Bethlehem, a manger, shepherds receiving the good news (Luke 2:7-12). The wise men who came from far away rejoiced and worshiped the child (Matthew 2:10-11). Children remember this story through songs, gestures and repetition.
A well-chosen song engraves a simple truth on their hearts: Jesus is God's gift to us. And what they sing at six, they will still remember at sixty.
How to use this playlist
In Sunday school, learn one song a week during Advent and invent actions with the children: nothing helps memory like movement. For the church Christmas program, it helps you pick the songs and practice them at home.
At home, play it while you decorate, before bedtime or during the Christmas Eve meal. In the car, it turns long drives into a joyful moment where everyone sings in their own way.
