Father, the day is over and I come to say thank you. Thank you for what you have given me, for your presence at my side and for your protection. I place in your hands my thoughts, my worries and what I could not finish. I no longer need to carry it all. Give me peaceful sleep and a waking full of your grace. Keep those I love through the night. I fall asleep knowing that you watch over me. In Jesus' name, amen.
Psalm 4:8
Lord, I go over this day before you. I thank you for the good moments and the small joys. I also acknowledge my faults: the harsh words, the missed opportunities, the thoughts that do not honor you. Forgive me, as you promised to those who return to you. Help me forgive those who have hurt me. I lay down my worries for tomorrow, for you know the future. Wash my heart, calm my mind and let me sleep without fear. Thank you for your grace. Amen.
1 John 1:9
God, you who neither slumber nor sleep, I entrust myself to your care tonight. When the darkness frightens me or sleep is slow to come, remind me that you are here. Watch over my family, my friends and those who suffer or work tonight. Thank you for your goodness that is new every morning. May your Spirit fill me with calm, and let every anxious thought give way to your peace. I place my body and my soul in your hands, with complete trust. In Jesus' name, amen.
Psalm 121:3-4
Lord, the day is ending, and I want to pause for a moment and talk with you. Thank you for what I received today: a meal, a smile, a moment of peace, a strength that came at just the right time. Thank you also for what I did not see and you did for me. I acknowledge before you my unnecessary words, my forgetfulness, my anger, and I ask your forgiveness. Thank you for receiving me without rejecting me. Now I place this day in your hands, with what went well and what went wrong. Your goodness is enough for me. Amen.
Psalm 92:2-3
Jesus, I come home exhausted. This day took all my energy, and I feel like I have nothing left to give. You told those who are weary and burdened to come to you, so I come, just as I am. I lay at your feet the difficult conversations, the unfinished tasks, the worries that follow me all the way home. Give me the rest that only you can give, the kind that calms the soul and not just the body. Teach me to walk at your pace, gently. Thank you for welcoming me tonight just as I am. Amen.

Father, here we are gathered before nightfall, young and old, to say thank you. Thank you for this day spent together, for what made us laugh and even for what helped us grow. Forgive us for harsh words and impatient gestures, and help us forgive one another. Watch over each of us tonight, over the children who are about to fall asleep, over those who are worried. May your Word dwell in our home, and may we learn to speak to you as to a father who listens. We entrust our night to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

I proclaim that at the end of this day, I give thanks to the Lord, for his mercies are not consumed and they are new every morning.
You can go over your day and say thank you for three specific things: a blessing received, a person, a moment of peace. Then add: "Father, thank you for keeping me today." Paul recommends giving thanks in all circumstances, and the evening is a good time to do it.
Stay calm and talk to God simply. Lay down before him whatever is on your mind, then meditate on a verse like Psalm 4:8. David also prayed at night, in sleeplessness. God is not upset that you are awake. If sleepless nights go on, consider seeing a doctor.
Yes, the Bible prescribes no posture. David says he remembers God on his bed and meditates on him in the watches of the night. What matters is the attitude of the heart. Praying in bed before sleep is a lovely habit, as long as you stay attentive and sincere.
