I proclaim that I fast before my Father who sees in secret, and he rewards me openly for the humility of this discipline.

The fast God has chosen

« Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? »

Set apart for God's calling

I declare that as I fast and minister to the Lord, the Holy Spirit clarifies his calling over my life and sets me apart for his purpose.

My healing springs forth speedily
