Lord, this morning I place my hands and my wallet in yours. You have given me everything, and I am only the steward of what you entrust to me. Teach me to give cheerfully, without regret and without pressure. Open my eyes to the needs around me: a lonely neighbor, a family in difficulty, a work that serves your name. Free me from the fear of lacking and from the urge to keep everything for myself. May my actions, even small ones, show your love to the people I meet today. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Laying Down My Money Worries
Father, I admit that my heart quickly clings to what I own. I bring you my money worries, my comparisons and my fear of not having enough. I place my budget, my plans and my future in your hands. Show me where you want me to give, and to whom. If my priorities are wrong, correct me gently. I am not trying to buy your favor, because your grace is free. What does the Bible say about giving?
The Bible invites us to give freely and with joy, without sadness or pressure, because God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving is a response to the grace we have received, never a way to buy God's favor. It can also take the form of time, service or attention toward others.
Do we have to give so that God will bless us?
No. God's grace cannot be bought. The Bible shows that God cares for those who follow him, but it does not promise riches in exchange for a gift. We give out of gratitude and love for our neighbor. God knows our needs (Matthew 6:32) and remains free in how he answers them.
How do I pray when I am afraid of not having enough?
Simply tell God about your fear, as Philippians 4:6-7 invites you to: present your requests to him with thanksgiving, and his peace will guard your heart. Ask him for wisdom to manage what you have, and for the freedom to give according to your means. Also talk to a leader in your church if the situation is hard.
