1 Thessalonians 5:18
Lord, I remember what you have done for me: the answered prayers, the open doors, the times you lifted me up when I had no strength left. I forget none of your blessings. Thank you for your patience with me, for your forgiveness that renews my heart, for your Word that guides me. Thank you for my church, my friends, my family. Father, today I think of the people you have placed in my life, and my heart overflows with gratitude. Thank you for my family, with its joys and imperfections. Thank you for my friends, those who listen to me, correct me and pray for me. Thank you for those who passed on the faith to me and those who reached out a hand in hard times. I recognize that they are gifts from you, not something I am owed. Forgive me when I take them for granted. Bless each of them according to your goodness, and help me love them as you love me. Amen.

Lord, it is not easy to say thank you right now. Things are not going the way I hoped, and my heart is heavy. Yet I choose to lift my eyes to you, because you remain good when everything shakes. Thank him simply and concretely: name specific blessings, like your health, a loved one, help you received. Thank him also for his forgiveness and for Jesus. Psalm 100 invites us to enter his gates with thanksgiving. You can do it aloud, in writing or by singing.
Because gratitude turns us toward God and protects us from pride and complaining. Paul invites us to give thanks in all circumstances, not for everything, but in everything, because God remains faithful. A grateful heart sees his blessings and grows in trust.
Yes, even if it is hard. We do not thank God for the suffering itself, but for his presence, his faithfulness and the blessings that remain. The Psalms show believers expressing their pain and their gratitude in the same prayer. Be honest with God, he understands.
