Matthew 5:4

I proclaim that I am blessed even in my mourning, for God himself has promised to comfort me.

The Lord is near the brokenhearted

« The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. »

Psalm 34:18

I declare that the Lord is near to me in my broken heart, and he saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Every tear will be wiped away

« And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. »

Revelation 21:4

I proclaim that God will wipe away every tear from my eyes. Death and sorrow do not have the final word over my life.

The resurrection and the life

« Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. »

John 11:25

I declare that Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Because I believe in him, death does not have the last word over those I love or over me.

Joy comes in the morning

« For his anger is but for a moment, his favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. »

Psalm 30:5

I proclaim that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. God is turning my mourning into gladness.
