Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit. Come and dwell in my thoughts, my decisions and my days. Lead me into the truth and teach me your Word. Where I am weak, be my strength. Where I am lost, be my light. Teach me to recognize your voice and to obey you. Grow in me love, joy, peace and patience. Thank you for your presence. I want to walk with you today. I give you my whole day, with trust and gratitude. Amen.
Luke 11:13
Lord, my mind is restless, full of thoughts and worries. I come to lay all of it before you. May your Spirit give me your peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard my heart from anxiety and my thoughts from confusion. Where I feel bound or weary, bring your freedom and your rest. I do not always know how to pray, but I know that your Spirit intercedes for me. Thank you for being near to me. I rest in you. In Jesus' name, amen.
Romans 8:26
Father, thank you for the Holy Spirit whom you have given to those who believe. Thank you that he comforts me, teaches me and reminds me of the words of Jesus. Thank you that he makes me a witness of your love. Make me sensitive to his leading and obedient to his voice. May his fruit be seen in my life, in my family and in my church. Keep me from grieving him. I praise you for your faithful presence. Thank you for never leaving me alone, whatever happens. To you be the glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Jesus promised that the Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. Pray with faith and simplicity, in the name of Jesus, opening your heart to him. There is no required formula. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer from conversion, and you can ask to be filled with him each day.
The Bible teaches that Jesus has authority over evil powers. The believer places themselves under that authority by praying, resisting the devil and remaining in Christ. There is no magic method. In a serious situation, it is wise to ask the leaders of your church for help.
The Holy Spirit speaks in agreement with the Bible, never against it. He convicts of sin, comforts, guides into truth and produces a fruit of peace and love. Learn to recognize him through reading the Word, prayer and the counsel of mature Christians in your church.
