Lord, I begin this day with you. You see my loneliness on some evenings and my questions about the future. I do not want to hide them. Remind me that I am not alone, that your presence is enough for me today. Help me live fully what you give me: my work, my friendships, my church. Keep my heart from bitterness and comparison. Give me your peace for this day and the joy of serving you right where I am. Thank you for staying close to me. In Jesus' name, amen.
Psalm 62:6
Father, you know my desire to share my life with someone, and you also know how long the waiting can feel. I place my plans, my disappointments and my fears in your hands. I do not know what you are preparing, but I choose to trust you and not lean on my own understanding. Keep me from forcing doors open and from settling for less than what you want for me. Teach me to wait without falling asleep, and to love you above everything. May your will be done in my life. In Jesus' name, amen.

Simply tell God what you feel, without fancy words. The Psalms show that we can express our loneliness to God with complete honesty. He listens, and the Bible says he is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Also talk to a brother or sister from your church: loneliness is easier to carry together.
Pray as you are, tired or in a hurry, in just a few words. Entrust your children, your burdens and your worries about tomorrow to God. Jesus invites all who are weary and burdened to come to him (Matthew 11:28). You can also ask your church for practical help, because God often acts through brothers and sisters. You do not have to carry all of this alone.
Yes, the Bible invites us to present all our requests to God (Philippians 4:6). Ask him for wisdom and discernment rather than a specific outcome, and place your desire in his hands. Prayer does not guarantee a marriage, but God promises to direct those who lean on him (Proverbs 3:5-6). Also build a healthy church life and good friendships.
