Lord, this morning I turn to you. I know I am not strong on my own, but I want to be strengthened by your power. Clothe me with your truth, your righteousness and your peace. Guard my thoughts, my words and my choices. When temptation comes, remind me that you are greater than anything that attacks me. Let your Word be my sword today, and your presence my shelter. I give you this day in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Ephesians 6:10-11
Father, I come to you because I feel weak in the face of this temptation. I submit to you and I choose to resist. I am not relying on my willpower, but on your grace. Show me the way out that you are preparing, and give me the courage to take it. Cleanse my heart of the thoughts that pull me away from you. Thank you that Jesus won the victory for me on the cross. Put in me a desire to obey you, and keep me close to you. In Jesus' name, amen.
James 4:7
Lord Jesus, thank you that you have already won the victory. I do not fight to earn it, but I stand firm in the one you have given me. Thank you that your Spirit lives in me and is greater than everything that threatens me. When I am afraid, teach me to lift my eyes to you. When I am tired, renew my strength. I want to stay faithful to you to the end, together with the brothers and sisters you have placed beside me. To you be the glory. Amen.

I proclaim that I submit to God and I resist the devil. He flees from me because I stand firm in the authority of Christ.
The Bible calls us to put on the armor of God: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and the Word, all wrapped in prayer. The battle is fought in Christ, who has already won. We do not shout at the devil. We submit to God and resist temptation with his Word.
The Bible sets no magic hour. Jesus withdrew to pray early in the morning and sometimes at night, but what matters is the sincerity of the heart, not the clock. You can pray at any moment, because the Father always hears you, and no formula replaces your relationship with him.
Stay close to God through prayer, Bible reading and fellowship with other Christians. Paul urges us to stay alert, stand firm in the faith and be strengthened in the Lord. Strength does not come from you, but from Christ, who works in you by his Spirit.
