Who is All Souls Langham Place?
All Souls Langham Place is an Anglican church in central London, standing at the top of Regent Street next to Broadcasting House. Designed by the architect John Nash and consecrated in November 1824, it is the last surviving Nash church in London. Badly damaged by a landmine in 1940, it was restored in 1951. Its current rector is Charlie Skrine, and in 2024 the church celebrated two hundred years of ministry in the heart of the West End.
All Souls is closely associated with John Stott, who became rector in 1950 and was a leading figure of twentieth-century evangelicalism. The church gives a central place to Bible preaching and keeps an archive of more than 6,000 recorded messages dating back to the 1960s. Its sermons are also shared on YouTube. Efficient Church summarizes a selection of them on this page: each article distils a teaching with its key verses and links back to the original video and the church's channel.
