The Tron Church

Evangelical church in Glasgow

Who is The Tron Church?

The Tron Church is an evangelical Presbyterian church in Glasgow, standing in the historic tradition of the Scottish Reformation. Its roots go back to 1687 and the Wynd Church, founded near the Trongate in what is now the Merchant City. Since 2012 the congregation has met at 25 Bath Street in the city centre, and in 2016 it planted two new congregations, in Kelvingrove and Queen's Park. William Philip has been its senior minister since August 2004.

The Tron gives a central place to the Bible, in which God's voice is proclaimed and heard today. Every Sunday morning its three locations follow the same order of service, with the same hymns and readings, and the sermon is streamed live from one of them. A Farsi-speaking fellowship also meets at the church. Efficient Church summarizes a selection of them on this page: each article distils a teaching with its key verses and links back to the original video and the church's channel.
