Introduction

A short Bible verse can be learned in a few minutes and stays with you all day. Here are thirty short Bible verses, each a single sentence, grouped by use: encouragement, peace, love, faith, praise, and children. To memorize them, choose one verse a week, copy it by hand, read it morning and evening, then recite it while you walk. You can also write it on a card, or send it to someone who needs it today.

2. Philippians 4:13

"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

Paul wrote it from prison, after learning to live with want as well as with plenty. He does not promise success in everything, but the strength to endure. Write it on a desk or a mirror for the days when you feel at the end of your rope. Read all of Philippians 4.

3. Exodus 14:14

7. Numbers 6:26

"Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace."

"Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!"
