How did Guvna B get started?

Guvna B started out in London with the EP Looking Out The Window (2007), then his first album, The Narrow Road (2008). Scrapbook (2011) and then Odd1Out (2013), a 17-track album led by the single Free, widened his audience. Odd1Out made him the first rapper to reach number one on the UK's Official Christian and Gospel albums chart.

He went on with Scrapbook II (2014), the EP Something For The Summer (2014) and Secret World (2015), which includes Nothing But The Blood, with American gospel artist Deitrick Haddon.

What makes Guvna B distinctive?

His identity rests on the meeting of two worlds: a British rap rooted in London life, and a gospel world he invites onto his records. The Kingdom Choir sings on Cast Your Cares (2018), Wretch 32 on Fall on Me, CalledOut Music on Peace of God and Michaela Coel on Bridgeland Road (2023). Martin Smith, Matt Redman, Samm Henshaw and Andy Mineo are also among his collaborators.

The Village Is On Fire (2023) is presented as a look at London. His 2026 album, This Bed I Made, comes with a short film of the same name in which he stars.
