From Exodus ("I am the Lord who heals you," Exodus 15:26) to the gospels where Jesus heals the sick in crowds, the Bible reveals a God who cares about bodies as much as souls. Healing is part of his heart — and prayer for the sick is part of the normal life of the church (James 5).

Does God still heal today?
Yes — James 5 institutes prayer for the sick as a permanent practice of the church, and countless believers testify to it. But God remains sovereign over the how and the when.
If I am not healed, is it a lack of faith?
No. Paul prayed three times about his thorn and received "my grace is sufficient for you" (2 Corinthians 12). Giants of the faith remained sick. Faith expresses itself in trust, not only in outcomes.
Can I pray AND get medical treatment?
Absolutely — that is the biblical model. Luke was a physician, and the wisdom of Proverbs honors concrete means. Prayer is not an alternative to medicine but its ally.
