1. God's presence transforms you

"One of the distinctive things about God's presence is that once you step into it, you don't come out the same person." That is how Pastor Célia sums up what she saw at the women's retreat. God's presence does not leave you untouched. It transfigures you. The Bible says we are changed "into the same image, from glory to glory" (2 Corinthians 3:18). This is not a passing emotion, it is a work the Holy Spirit does in you while you worship.

The result is visible: when you come down from the mountain, creation no longer sees you, it sees the image of the living God in you. And that God draws people. Souls run to Him. 2. Cultivate your thirst

"Cultivate thirst, because it's thirst that drives you to seek Him until you find Him." Almost every sister who testified repeated this phrase. Aminata put it plainly: "The women who were filled were the ones who were thirsty." The Holy Spirit fills those who are ready to drink. He forces no one. He responds.

In practical terms, this thirst took shape as twenty one days of praying in tongues before the retreat. A season of consecration. A decision to stop settling at the same level. Pastor Célia puts it this way: "I wanted to go higher, I had a holy anger, I didn't want to stay at my level anymore." 3. Don't put off your divine appointment

In Matthew 3, Jesus comes to the banks of the Jordan to be baptized by John. John refuses: "It is you who should baptize me." He's right. Jesus is greater than John. But Jesus answers: "Let it be so now, for it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." And it was that very day, in the water, that heaven opened and the Holy Spirit came down on him.

Pastor Célia draws out the application: if Jesus had put off that appointment to another day, you and I would not be here today. When God sets an appointment for you, today is the day to keep it. The sisters who went through the retreat had all faced obstacles: sick husbands, cars breaking down, forgotten paperwork, last minute registrations. But they went anyway. And that's where God met them. Don't let "good reasons" make you miss the appointment of your life.

4. Stay focused, don't let yourself be distracted

"What we do for God is spiritual. We really need to stay focused on the words God is releasing." This word was given at the retreat. Often, when you come to a service, you're watching the sister next to you, her outfit, what she's doing, what she said. And meanwhile, the word goes right over your head. Pastor Célia reminds us that God's presence is grasped through a posture of attention. Close your eyes. Shut off the inner noise. Connect to what the Lord is saying here and now. It's in that silence that God lands in your heart.

5. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and praying in tongues

One sister testified with these words: "If you haven't yet received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, ask God for it, it's truly a powerful weapon." Praying in tongues is not charismatic folklore. It is a means God has given to pray beyond what your mind can grasp. During the 21 days leading up to the retreat, the women connected together to pray in tongues. And that fire went with them all the way into the room. One sister was driving her car praying in tongues without even realizing it, and the three girls beside her did the same. That's what the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit looks like.

6. Cast your net on Jesus's word

Peter fished all night and caught nothing. But when Jesus got into his boat, everything changed. On a single word, "let down your net again," Peter obeyed. And the fish poured in until the boat was on the verge of sinking. Pastor Célia declares that this same "grace of divine acceleration" is available today. What you have pursued for months without result can turn around in less than 24 hours when you decide to act on the word Jesus gives you. It is not your skill that will produce the miracle. It is your obedience to His word.

7. God's presence heals

Pastor Célia tells the story of a student in a growth track in Paris, diagnosed with cancer during lockdown, who logged onto Zoom every Wednesday despite her suffering. When she had the strength, she turned her camera on. When she was too weak, she turned it off, but she stayed connected. One day, the whole class lifted their faith and prayed for her. At the conference that followed, she came to testify: completely healed. God's presence is not an emotion.
