Kensington Temple

Evangelical church in London

Who is Kensington Temple?

Kensington Temple is a Pentecostal church in Notting Hill Gate, London. Its building, the former Horbury Chapel, opened on 30 August 1848; in 1930 George Jeffreys, founder of the Elim movement, bought it and gave it the name Kensington Temple. The church grew strongly from the 1960s onwards and gave birth to the London City Church network. Since July 2024 it has been led by Malcolm J. Duncan, its Senior Minister.

An international church, Kensington Temple brings together believers from 119 nationalities and holds five services every Sunday. Its teaching, Pentecostal and rooted in the Bible, emphasises prayer, evangelism and the work of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life. Services and sermons are published on YouTube. Efficient Church summarizes a selection of them on this page: each article distils a teaching with its key verses and links back to the original video and the church's channel.
