And then the Lord shows up. He arrives the way he always has in Scripture: unexpectedly, right when his people think the day will be like any other. 1. The day the Lord touches you: receive his renewal

• The day of the Lord is the moment when you stop living as a spectator and take your place in what he is doing in his church.
• It's time to come out of sleep: ask the Lord to restore your understanding, your memory, your discernment, your spiritual sight, your grasp of the spiritual world.
• 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17: "Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself... comfort and strengthen you." God's comfort is eternal. Receive it today.

5. Don't be ashamed of your identity

• The preacher describes meeting women wearing a veil without shame of their identity. And he asks: "Are we ashamed of ours?"
• Freedom of religion protects the right to worship. It doesn't require you to hide what Christ is to you.
• When a friend asks you for advice, don't hide the fact that you're praying for them. That's the testimony they need.
• 2 Corinthians 5:17: "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." Let Jesus take his place in you: you have all the power you need to be rebuilt.

• Malachi 3:10: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse... test me now in this, says Yahweh of Armies, if I will not open you the windows of heaven."
• The tithe isn't a religious burden: it's a step of obedience. "Do you want to be someone who obeys?"
• What you give to God will not leave you lacking. He will provide for your projects, your finances, your family.
• The Lord wants to be glorified in your work, your finances, your dreams. Trust him, and give with joy and freedom.
